Apparently, Father Edward was the head master of St. Rita's Academy, who took leave in the year, 1994 to Somalia. However, during his absence, Father Bob admonishes Sister Gloria to turn down the restrictions that were about to be imposed on the students at the Halloween party or else there's a plausibility that she'll be transferred to another academy, although Sister Gloria argues that Father Edward wouldn't have allowed it either but Father Bob still resists. Father Edward is never mentioned post the conversation.
